Geneva: Rana Basharat Ali Khan, Chairman of the International Human Rights Movement, has condemned the escalating violence in Yemen, calling for an immediate ceasefire and de-escalation. The nearly decade-long conflict has led to a severe humanitarian crisis, with millions facing food shortages and disease outbreaks.
Mr. Khan stressed the urgency of international support to halt Houthi attacks on commercial vessels, restore humanitarian aid routes, and release detained UN personnel. “Yemen’s people have suffered for too long. It is crucial that the global community unites to ensure humanitarian access and pursue a sustainable peace process,” he said.
The International Human Rights Movement will continue to advocate for Yemen, emphasizing the need for renewed diplomatic efforts and a path to lasting peace.
