Strong 6.1 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Western Türkiye


A powerful earthquake measuring 6.1 struck western Türkiye, causing damage to several buildings. The epicenter was near Sındırgı in Balıkesir province, at a depth of about six kilometers. Tremors were felt in Istanbul, Bursa, Manisa, and Izmir. No immediate reports of casualties have been received, authorities confirmed.
