A grand ceremony was organized at District Jinnah Public School and College Mandi Bahauddin to pay tribute to the poet of the East, Allama Dr. Muhammad Iqbal. Deputy Commissioner Dr. Faisal Saleem was the chief guest of the ceremony while Principal Professor Tariq Javed presided over the ceremony. Members of the Board of Governors Chaudhry Zulqarnain Sahi, Mian Zaheeruddin Babar, Sheikh Muhammad Ijaz, Bureau Chief of Daily Samaa Lahore and PTV News Mandi Correspondent Bahauddin Raja Muhammad Ayub, Dr. Aftab Ahmed Sahi, Principal Government MB High School Muhammad Nawaz Jafri, Abdul Qayyum Harl, Raja Hamza Ayub, teachers, parents and students in large numbers attended the ceremony. The aim of this ceremony was to make the students aware of Iqbal’s vision, philosophy and his role in awakening the spirit of the youth. Students of different classes delivered speeches regarding the poetry, philosophy and message of the poet of the East and presented tableaux based on the works of Allama Iqbal and the culture of the four provinces, making the ceremony a grand success and garnering much appreciation from the audience. The school teachers provided full support and guidance to the students in preparing for their performances. and ensured a well-organized and vibrant celebration. In his address, Principal Professor Tariq Javed highlighted the importance of Iqbal’s message for the younger generation and said that Iqbal’s sayings are a beacon of light for the younger generation. Parents also participated in the event in large numbers and expressed positive feedback about the school’s educational system and co-curricular environment. The event successfully reflected the school’s commitment to promoting cultural and intellectual development among the students.
