During the 12-day national vaccination campaign against measles and rubella in Mandi Bahauddin district, 243,000 children will be vaccinated. Chief Executive Officer Health Dr. Kiran Arshad.
The 12-day national vaccination campaign against measles and rubella in Mandi Bahauddin district will start from November 17 and will continue till November 29, in which 243,000 children aged 6 months to 5 years will be vaccinated against measles and rubella, for which 141 outreach and 69 fixed teams have been formed. This was stated by Chief Executive Officer Health Mandi Bahauddin Dr. Kiran Arshad during a special meeting with Bureau Chief of Daily Samaa Lahore and PTV News Mandi Bahauddin correspondent Raja Muhammad Ayub. District Health Officer Dr. Muhammad Iftikhar and other doctors were also present on the occasion. Chief Executive Officer Dr. Kiran Arshad appealed to the media on this occasion to provide maximum awareness to parents and the community about the measles and rubella vaccination campaign so that they can vaccinate their children and protect them from this deadly disease. Dr. Kiran Arshad further said that the population of Mandi Bahauddin district is 18 lakh 72 thousand 162 and the government has set a target of vaccinating 2 lakh 43 thousand 382 children to prevent measles and rubella. Teams have been formed in the three tehsils of Mandi Bahauddin district, Malikwal Phalia and Mandi Bahauddin, to vaccinate children up to five years of age, which will vaccinate children up to five years of age against measles and rubella from November 17 to November 29. Dr. Kiran Arshad said that during the 12-day campaign, he and the health department officers will personally go to the field and review the process of vaccinating children. Any negligence or carelessness will not be tolerated in this regard.
