A crime meeting was held at the DPO office under the chairmanship of District Police Officer Sahiwal Muhammad Usman Tipu, in which SP Investigation Farooq Anwar, SDPOs, DSPs, SHOs, in-charge investigation and in-charges of various branches from across the district participated. The meeting took a detailed review of the overall crime situation in the district, investigation of cases, prevention of serious crimes, performance of police stations and arrest of declared and judicial fugitives. DPO Sahiwal Muhammad Usman Tipu directed the officers to continue indiscriminate action against criminal elements, ensure investigation of serious cases on merit and keep the protection of public life and property as a priority at all times. Along with traffic police, district police officers should also ensure implementation of traffic rules. He said that Sahiwal Police is working day and night to eliminate crime and provide a safe environment to the citizens. At the end of the meeting, he encouraged the best performing officers and directed all the officers to adopt a people-friendly attitude and take steps to further improve the positive image of the police.
