FDA high level meeting chairs by DG M Asif Ch discuss acceleration of financial resources

FAISALABAD:The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) administration has prepared a multi-faceted business strategy to accelerate financial resource mobilization, aiming to fuel new urban development and public welfare projects. The initiative was discussed during a high-level review meeting chaired by Director General FDA, Muhammad Asif Chaudhry, at the FDA conference room. Financial Consultant Shakeel Ahmed briefed the participants on various models and proposals designed to diversify and increase the authority’s revenue streams. During the session, DG Muhammad Asif Chaudhry emphasized that financial stability is indispensable for the progress of urban development projects through strategic planning. He urged officers to play a proactive role in expanding the authority’s developmental activities. He stated that FDA’s available properties and assets must be utilized for income-generating projects for the public interest. He said that we as a team are committed to professional planning through integrated financial, business, and technical management.
The meeting deliberated on several sustainable business models to ensure long-term growth, including open auctioning and balloting of plots, direct contacts with various institutions,
joint Ventures (JV) and Public-Private Partnerships (PPP).
The Director General issued a zero-tolerance policy regarding the recovery of outstanding dues. He directed the Enforcement Cell to produce visible results in revenue collection and stressed the prevention of illegal commercialization.
Furthermore, the DG ordered a re-verification of building maps for commercial properties to ensure fee compliance. He instructed senior officers to personally supervise the recovery campaign, warning that no negligence in the performance of duties would be tolerated. The meeting was attended by Chief Engineer Maher Ayub, Directors Junaid Hassan Manj, Asma Mohsin, Yasir Ejaz Chatha, and Sohail Maqsood Pannu, alongside Deputy Directors Engineering Talha Tabassum, Waleed Khalid, Deputy Director Finance Afzal Ansari, Deputy Director Estate Management Rabia Mubashra and Assistant Director Finance Bilal Ahmed.
