Inspection of Pressure Vessels and Boilers in Industrial Units Accelerated to Ensure Public Safety

Faisalabad: In line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the protection of public lives has been declared the top priority of the divisional administration. In this regard, on the initiative of Faisalabad Commissioner Raja Jahangir Anwar, the inspection process to assess the capacity and safety of pressure vessels and boilers in factories, workshops, and industrial units is being carried out at an accelerated pace. So far, five private companies registered with the Industries Department have visited more than 800 industrial units, during which 2,749 pressure vessels were identified, while the capacity and safety assessment of 1,310 pressure vessels has been successfully completed through third-party inspection. Additional Commissioner Coordination Tanveer Murtaza visited various industrial units and reviewed the ongoing inspection process of pressure vessels and boilers. He stated that the Commissioner has issued clear directions to complete the task swiftly, under which geo-tagging of industrial units is also being carried out. He further emphasized that after assessing the capacity of pressure vessels, a daily report should be compiled to ensure effective monitoring and prevention of any potential hazards.
