Faisababad: On the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Commissioner Faisalabad Raja Jahangir Anwar conducted a visit across the city to review ongoing beautification initiatives. He inspected the underpasses on Canal Road and directed that they be transformed into landmarks of urban beauty.
The Commissioner reviewed the beautification work in progress along a one-kilometer stretch beside the canal from the Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Underpass towards Canal Road, and instructed that installation of attractive tiles should begin immediately after completion of the bedding work. He stated that upon completion of the project, commuters on Canal Road would experience a unique and pleasant environment.
Raja Jahangir Anwar also proposed the development of a public park and playground on the vast railway land beneath the Jhal Khanuana overhead bridge, adding that a meeting with railway authorities would be held soon to finalize a practical roadmap. He emphasized that efforts to enhance the city’s beauty would continue in a sustained and organized manner.
