Faisalabad: The Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) Faisalabad has released its annual performance report for the year 2025, highlighting significant achievements in crime control, public facilitation, traffic management and road safety.According to the report, the Punjab Highway Patrol registered 2,725 cases under various sections during the year 2025. In these cases, 2747 accused persons were arrested, said SSP Patrol Faisalabad Mirza Anjum Kamal.
The SSP further stated that effective use of modern technology played a vital role in law enforcement. Through the E-Police Post App, PHP successfully arrested 190 proclaimed offenders and 152 court absconders, which reflects the department’s commitment to digitization and smart policing.During operations against illegal weapons, the patrol police recovered 6 Kalashnikovs, 2 modern rifles and 6 repeaters from criminals.Additionally, in a separate crackdown on illegal arms, 21 pistols along with 291 bullets and cartridges were seized.In the fight against narcotics, PHP conducted several operations resulting in the recovery of 576 liters of liquor and 200 grams of charas, further strengthening efforts to curb drug abuse and trafficking.
The Punjab Highway Patrol also focused on humanitarian services. During the year, 11 missing children were traced and reunited with their parents, bringing relief and happiness to affected families.
To ensure smooth traffic flow, 1,209 temporary and permanent encroachments were removed from highways and roads, significantly improving traffic movement. Moreover, PHP provided first aid and emergency assistance to 10,243 passengers during accidents and roadside emergencies.
Appreciating the outstanding performance of the Faisalabad PHP, DIG Punjab Dr. Athar Waheed commended the officers and personnel for their dedication and professionalism.
SSP Mirza Anjum Kamal emphasized that the Punjab Highway Patrol will continue to perform its duties with honesty, dedication and commitment to ensure smooth traffic flow, public safety and protection of citizens.
