The Federal Government stands shoulder to shoulder with the Provincial Government for the development and prosperity of Balochistan . P M Shehbaz Sharif
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, along with federal ministers, arrived in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan, on a one-day official visit. Upon his arrival at Quetta Airport, he was warmly received by Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti and other senior officials.
The Prime Minister was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Rana Sanaullah, Ahsan Iqbal, and other high-ranking officials. At the Governor House, Governor of Balochistan Sheikh Jafar Khan Mandokhail welcomed the Prime Minister, where he was also presented with a Guard of Honour.
During the visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif inaugurated several major development projects, including the Karachi–Chaman National Highway and a Danish School. The Prime Minister was given a comprehensive briefing on the overall situation of the province by Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, Governor Sheikh Jafar Khan Mandokhail, and Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan. He was informed about the steps taken and successes achieved in maintaining law and order, as well as proposals for various development projects.
Later, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held meetings with representatives of various political parties, provincial ministers, members of the Provincial Assembly, members of the National Assembly, and both government and opposition leaders. On this occasion, the Prime Minister paid tribute to the performance of the current Balochistan government and its development initiatives, emphasizing that the Federal Government would extend full cooperation to the provincial government. He stressed the importance of maintaining the NFC Award and continuing additional federal support.
Addressing the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that terrorist elements operating in Balochistan are receiving support from neighboring countries. He added that similar threats
