A detailed and important meeting of the Price Control Committee was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Chaman, Habib Ahmed Bangulzai, in which a comprehensive review was conducted of the prices, availability, and quality of essential food items across the district.
The meeting was attended by the DSP, Tehsildar, officials from the Food Department, Market Committee, representatives of traders, and officers of relevant departments. The Deputy Commissioner issued clear instructions that strict implementation of official price lists must be ensured, and indiscriminate action should be taken against elements involved in profiteering, hoarding, and overcharging.
Deputy Commissioner Habib Ahmed Bangulzai directed the concerned officers to further intensify regular and effective market inspections, impose immediate fines on overpricing, and ensure that no negligence in providing relief to the public would be tolerated. He emphasized that the district administration would continue to take all possible measures to safeguard public interest.
At the conclusion of the meeting, it was decided that daily reports would be compiled to make the price control mechanism more effective, and that a helpline and field teams would be activated for the prompt redressal of public complaints.
