In addition to philanthropists, local and overseas Pakistanis also donated funds online at the fundraising ceremony. The OPD of the Diabetes Center (Diabetes Hospital) under construction in Sahiwal was inaugurated and a fundraising ceremony was held. Philanthropists actively participated in the ceremony, while local people as well as overseas Pakistanis also donated funds online. After the completion of the hospital, the people of Sahiwal and its surrounding areas will be provided with world-class facilities for the treatment of diabetes and all related diseases. The chief guest of the event was renowned motivational speaker Professor Dr. Javed Iqbal, while the guest speaker was actor and social figure Sarmad Khoosat, who highlighted the importance of this welfare project. The event was attended by a large number of social, political figures and citizens, including Chaudhry Javed Rashid, Principal Government College Professor Mumtaz, President Chamber of Commerce Sheikh Azmat Saleem, Former President Chamber of Commerce Kashif Riaz, Project Director Muhammad Ahmed. Renowned doctors from the health sector also participated on the occasion, including Medical Superintendent of Sahiwal Teaching Hospital Dr. Muhammad Khalid Khan, Endocrinologist Dr. Asjad Hameed, Type Specialist Dr. Nuzhat Hameed, Cardiologist Dr. Ahsan Nisar, Nephrologist Dr. Israr Khan and Dr. Ahmed Khan. The participants termed the establishment of the Diabetes Hospital as an important and commendable welfare project for Sahiwal and expressed their commitment to continue their cooperation for its early completion. After the event, free medical examination of the citizens was also conducted.
