The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) administration has begun considering a proposal to sell 377 residential plots of various sizes in FDA City through a balloting process. In this regard, Director General (DG) FDA, Muhammad Asif Chaudhry has ordered for devising comprehensive and viable model for the sale of these plots via lucky draw on an installment basis. He issued these instructions while presiding over a meeting to review the details of available plots in FDA City. The meeting was attended by Additional Director General Qaiser Abbas Rind, Chief Engineer Meher Ayub,
Director Town Planning Asma Mohsan, Director Estate Management Suhail Pannu, Director IT Yasir Ejaz Chatha, Deputy Director Estate Management Adnan Shahzad, Deputy Director Engineering Talah Tabassum and others.During the session, officials reviewed various terms and conditions, legal matters, procedural frameworks, plot pricing and installment durations. It was decided that a committee would be formed to develop a formal model for the balloting process based on specific Terms of Reference (TORs). The committee will determine plot prices, down payment requirements, installment schedules, and incentives for applicants. DG FDA stated that the proposed model will be presented to the Board of Governors for final approval before implementation. The DG noted that selling plots through balloting and installments rather than open auction would be more attractive to potential buyers and provide a fair opportunity to interested citizens. The Director General instructed officials to gather feedback and suggestions from various stakeholders to ensure the model is implemented under a solid and effective strategy.
