Faisalabad: Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sohail Akhtar Sukhera lauded Javad Sports and Cultural Complex for promoting healthy and positive activities among youth, terming such institutions “a blessing for the country and society”.
Addressing the annual prize distribution ceremony at the complex, the RPO Sohail Sukhera said young people must channel their energies in a positive direction, adding that sports play a vital role in building a healthy generation.During 2025, the complex organised eight mega cricket tournaments, with cash prizes, kits and trophies worth Rs5.5 million awarded to winning teams and players.Chief Executive Sheikh Javad Afzal along with Sheikh Imad Afzal, said the complex continues to pursue the vision of their late father, Sheikh Muhammad Afzal, of a “healthy Faisalabad”.The ceremony was attended by RCA President Rana Anis Ahmed, former Test cricketer Muhammad Suleman, officials of the cricket association, coaches and sports administrators.Cash awards, trophies and kits were also distributed among winners of the Junior Badminton Championship 2025, as well as outstanding players, ground staff and umpires.
