The office bearers and members of the Press Club, led by Sahiwal Press Club President Rana Javed Nisar, congratulated the newly elected President of Sahiwal Bar Association Malik Saeed Sagla and General Secretary Mian Tariq Kamiana on their success and presented bouquets of flowers. On this occasion, General Secretary Sahiwal Press Club Naveed Ghani Chaudhry, Vice President Press Club Javed Shaukat, Former Chairman Press Club Azizul Haq Goraia, Former Chairman Chaudhry Ashraf, Vice President Afzal Kashif, Member Supreme Council Raheel Azad, Rana Sohail Nisar Member Press Club, Senior Journalist Tayyab Habib Khan Sheikh Tariq Sajjad Advocate Secretary Information District Bar Sahiwal Member Executive Body Press Club were present. On this occasion, mutual cooperation between the two institutions, solving public problems and joint role for social betterment were emphasized. Addressing the ceremony, President Sahiwal Press Club Rana Javed Nisar said that media and lawyers are two wheels of the same vehicle, which cannot complete their journey without each other. He said that both the institutions will work together for the constitution, rule of law, promotion of democratic values and protection of public rights. He said that positive journalism and a strong legal system are the guarantee of the country’s development and stability. President Sahiwal Bar Association Malik Saad Sagla thanked the Press Club delegation and said that the bar and the media are in close cooperation. He emphasized that the media has always highlighted the public issues of Sahiwal responsibly and honestly and the role of Sahiwal Press Club has been positive and constructive. He said that the legal community will continue to maintain close contact with the media in the future and continue to cooperate fully for the provision of justice and public interest. General Secretary Mian Tariq Kamiana also expressed his views on the occasion and said that strong ties between the bar and the press club are the need of the hour. He expressed the hope that both the institutions will continue to play their effective role jointly for the eradication of social evils, law enforcement and resolution of civil problems. On this occasion, Secretary Information Sheikh Tariq Sajjad explained in detail the steps taken by the previous cabinet of the District Bar for the welfare of the Sahiwal Bar and lawyers and paid tribute to the President District Bar Sahiwal Malik Saeed Sagla Advocate and thanked all the office bearers of the Press Club for coming to the District Bar and congratulating the new cabinet of our bar. The ceremony concluded in a pleasant atmosphere, in which good wishes were expressed from both sides and the commitment to further strengthen mutual cooperation in the future was reiterated.
