Toba Tek Singh: Under the health vision of the Chief Minister Punjab, efforts are ongoing in Toba Tek Singh to provide quality, timely and free medical facilities to the public. Deputy Commissioner Umar Abbas Mela paid a detailed visit to the DHQ Hospital and reviewed the healthcare services being provided in various departments.
On this occasion, Medical Superintendent Dr. Shahbab Alam briefed the Deputy Commissioner about the ongoing administrative and medical affairs of the hospital. The Deputy Commissioner inspected the OPD, Emergency Ward, various medical wards and the OPD registration counter arrangements.The Deputy Commissioner directed the hospital administration to further improve the seating arrangements for patients’ attendants and ensure the early completion of the under-construction shed to facilitate families accompanying patients. He also inquired from patients about the availability of free medicines. Patients and their attendants expressed satisfaction over the medical facilities and free medicines being provided at the hospital.The Deputy Commissioner stated that the Trauma Center would be made functional immediately after being handed over to the hospital administration, which would further enhance healthcare services for patients. He added that improvement in the health sector is a top priority of the Punjab Government and continuous monitoring of hospitals is being carried out under the Chief Minister Punjab’s health vision.
