WASA Directed to Complete Development Schemes by June 30

Strict timelines and safety protocols ordered as WASA pushes to complete priority development schemes by June 30.

Faisalabad: Managing Director of WASA Saqib Raza has instructed that all ongoing development schemes must be completed by June 30, stressing that full safety measures should be implemented at all project sites. Presiding over a meeting at the WASA head office, he stated that under the development package announced by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, out of 14 schemes, the construction of 8 schemes has been given a strict deadline of June 30, and these must be completed on time to ensure their benefits reach the public. MD WASA further said that completing these schemes will provide citizens with high-quality and efficient drainage facilities during the upcoming monsoon season, and therefore work on these projects should be accelerated to full speed. He clarified that all project sites must have staff in full uniforms, barriers installed around sites for isolation, lights at night and the presence of a representative at all times. Additionally, completed portions of work should be backfilled immediately before starting the next section.MD WASA also emphasized strict and full compliance with all issued instructions.
