Faisalabad: Regional Police Officer (RPO) Faisalabad Sohail Akhtar Sukhera meet a delegation of the 8th Professional Planning and Management Course from the Kashmir Institute of Management. City Police Officer (CPO) Faisalabad Sahibzada Bilal Umar, SSP Operations Furqan Bilal and other senior officers were also present on the occasion. The RPO welcomed the visiting officers.Briefing the delegation, RPO Sohail Akhtar Sukhera highlighted the working and performance of various departments of the regional police. He said that all police departments in the Faisalabad region have been shifted to digital technology, while the Investigation and Operations wings have been modernised in line with contemporary policing standards. The participants were also informed about the transition to a modern policing model and recent digital policing reforms.The RPO further briefed the delegation on the law and order situation in the Faisalabad region, security arrangements for foreigners, airport security and the protection of sensitive installations. He said that comprehensive measures were being taken to ensure the safety of foreigners.


The delegation was also informed about various police initiatives launched in Faisalabad, including the Safe City project, Police Vision, Khidmat Markaz, Anti-Harassment Cell, Tahaffuz Markaz and the Gender-Based Violence Unit. These initiatives aim to curb crimes against women and vulnerable segments of society. The Women Safety App and the establishment of a Virtual Women Police Station were termed significant steps towards providing a sense of security to women.RPO Faisalabad Sohail Sukhera also highlighted welfare measures for police personnel and paid tribute to the sacrifices of police martyrs and ghazis. He briefed the delegation on reforms and public service initiatives being introduced in the police force under the vision of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Abdul Kareem. At the end of the meeting, a commemorative shield was presented to the delegation.
