HOUSTON, TX — As polls open across the Lone Star State for the 2026 Primary Election, Alexander Z. Kalai is positioning himself as the face of a “new generation of leadership” in the race for Texas’ 7th Congressional District.

Kalai, the Chief Financial Officer of Amerapex Corporation and a Columbia University alumnus, is one of four candidates vying for the Republican nomination in a district that has seen significant shifts following recent redistricting. His platform emphasizes a triad of conservative priorities: Economic Growth, Public Safety, and Government Accountability.

Polls remain open until 7:00 p.m. local time. If no candidate secures more than 50% of the vote today, the race will proceed to a primary runoff on May 26, 2026.
