The Rawalpindi Police have intensified their crackdown on drug suppliers across the city, with the Naseerabad Police taking significant action in recent days. Several drug dealers have been arrested during targeted operations under the ongoing campaign.
ASI Syed Izzat Abbas apprehended Naveed Khan, son of Gul Sher Khan, and recovered 1,480 grams of cannabis from his possession. Other officers, including ASI Waqas Ayub, Sub-Inspector Arshad Mehmood, ASI Shahid Ali, ASI Asif Farooq, SI Zulfiqar Haider, SI Ameer Hussain, and ASI Liaqat Ali, conducted separate raids and recovered quantities of ice and heroin.
In a noteworthy operation, ASI Waqar Ali Khan arrested a female suspect, Basmina Bibi, and seized 1.5 kilograms of heroin from her.
These actions are part of a broader anti-narcotics operation initiated under the special directives of Rawalpindi’s City Police Officer (CPO). Led by SHO Sikandar Nawaz and Additional SHO Abdul Rehman, the Naseerabad Police have launched a full-scale offensive against drug dealers in the region.
Speaking on the matter, the CPO Rawalpindi emphasized the commitment to eradicating the menace of drugs, stating that a comprehensive crackdown is underway against those poisoning the youth with narcotics. He reaffirmed that the operations align with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to eliminate drug networks and commended the police officers for their exemplary performance.
