Lahore – Punjab faces severe flooding after India opened all gates of the Sial Dam, sending an 800,000 cusec floodwave expected to reach Head Marala in two days. Seven embankments broke in Bahawalpur, submerging thousands of acres of crops. Rescue operations are ongoing in Jhang, and over 700,000 people have been evacuated. So far, 33 deaths are reported, with 2 million affected across the province.
