U.S. pharmaceutical lobby group PhRMA said Monday it will launch a new website in January allowing patients to buy prescription drugs directly from manufacturers. The initiative aims to bypass pharmacy benefit managers and other middlemen, a move the group says could lower costs and improve patient access.
