2026 school enrollment campaign launched in District Chaman, urging parents’ full cooperation, providing free textbooks, and promoting environmental awareness through a tree-planting initiative.
In connection with the New Year 2026 enrollment campaign, a well-attended press conference was convened on Tuesday at the Deputy Commissioner Complex. The press briefing was attended by Deputy Commissioner Chaman Habib Ahmed Bangalzai, District Education Officer Abdul Qadoos Khan Achakzai, District Education Officer (Female) Syed Uzma Gilani, UNICEF District Coordinator Jamil Khan Kakar, GTA District President Haji Daulat Khan Achakzai, Deputy Mayor Matiullah Khan Achakzai, eminent educationist and former Principal Taj Watan Dost, along with other officials, dignitaries, and elected representatives.
During the conference, Deputy Commissioner Habib Ahmed Bangalzai stated that the district-wide school enrollment drive for boys and girls commenced on March 1. He emphasized that the primary objective of the press conference was to earnestly appeal to parents to enroll their children in schools, as the Government of Balochistan places educational development among its foremost priorities. He asserted that education is indispensable for progress and that there exists no viable alternative pathway to success without knowledge.
He further declared that the administration is resolute in accomplishing the assigned enrollment targets and urged parents to extend full cooperation to teachers, noting that educational institutions constitute the nation’s most valuable asset. The administration aims to significantly curtail the number of out-of-school children in District Chaman and enhance the overall literacy rate.
He disclosed that a target has been established to enroll more than four thousand children under this campaign to ensure that every child becomes integrated into the national educational mainstream.
Additionally, he highlighted that with the commencement of the new academic year, the enrollment campaign is being conducted with full vigor. Free textbooks are being provided to students admitted to government schools to facilitate equitable access to education. Alongside the academic initiative, a tree plantation drive will also be launched to cultivate environmental consciousness among students and to transform educational institutions into greener and more sustainable environments.
