Additional Director Adnan Aslam Attends Family Planning Fair in Toba Tek Singh, Emphasizes Community Awareness and Public Health Initiatives
Toba Tek Singh: An educational Family Planning Fair was organized in Zeeshan Colony Tehsil Kamalia under the auspices of the Health and Population Welfare Department. The chief guest on the occasion was Additional Director Health and Population Department Lahore Adnan Aslam. The event was held under the supervision of District Officer Health and Population Welfare Department Toba Tek Singh Chaudhry Muhammad Naeem, while Tehsil Officer Health and Population Gojra Izhar Ahmad hosted the program. Divisional Coordinator of Punjab Family Planning Program Faisalabad Anwaar Ahmad attended as Chief Guest of Honor.
A large number of families, women, children and students participated in the fair. The main objective of the event was to create awareness among the public about family planning, maternal and child health and the importance of maintaining a balanced population. Various educational and recreational activities were arranged, including painting competitions and mehndi competitions for female students along with other engaging activities. Cash prizes and gold medals were awarded to the winners of these competitions.
Addressing the participants, Additional Director Adnan Aslam highlighted the importance of maternal and child health, stating that a healthy mother is the foundation of a healthy society. He emphasized that timely medical check-ups, proper birth spacing and family planning can protect mothers and children from various health complications.
District Officer Chaudhry Muhammad Naeem spoke in detail about the significance of family planning. He said that raising awareness is essential to control the challenges posed by rapid population growth. He added that family planning not only improves the economic condition of families but also ensures better education, healthcare, and attention for children.Divisional Coordinator Anwaar Ahmad stated that raising a smaller number of children allows parents to provide better care and upbringing, which ultimately strengthens both families and society. He urged the public to adopt family planning practices for a healthier and more prosperous community.At the end of the program, prizes were distributed among the children and students who showed outstanding performance. Participants appreciated the initiative and stressed the need for the continuation of such informative and community-oriented events.
