Erum Shahzadi stresses improved sanitation, transparent medicine supply, and quality patient care during inspection of Tehsil Headquarters Hospital(THQ) Kamalia
Toba Tek Singh, Kamalia: Assistant Commissioner Kamalia Ms.Erum Shahzadi paid a surprise visit to the Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital Kamalia and conducted a detailed inspection of the medical facilities, cleanliness arrangements and availability of medicines. Medical Superintendent (MS) Dr. Adeel Arif accompanied her during the visit.The Assistant Commissioner inspected various departments of the hospital, including the Emergency Ward, male and female wards, laboratory, pharmacy/medicine store and other key sections. She also interacted directly with patients under treatment and their attendants, inquiring about the quality of healthcare services, availability of medicines and the behavior of the hospital staff.AC Erum Shahzadi directed the hospital administration to ensure the timely and provision of quality healthcare services to patients at all costs. She emphasized the need to further improve the cleanliness system and maintain exemplary sanitation standards both inside and outside the hospital premises to prevent inconvenience to patients. She made it clear that any negligence regarding the availability of medicines would not be tolerated and that government-supplied medicines must be provided transparently to deserving patients.
On this occasion, MS Dr. Adeel Arif briefed the Assistant Commissioner on the ongoing reform measures at the hospital. He stated that all available resources are being utilized to provide improved medical facilities to patients. He further added that doctors and paramedical staff are performing their duties diligently and continuous efforts are being made to enhance the standard of treatment at the hospital.The Assistant Commissioner stressed the need to further improve the hospital’s performance and reiterated that the provision of quality and dignified healthcare services in public hospitals is the government’s top priority and no negligence in this regard will be tolerated.
