On the directives of Commissioner Faisalabad Raja Jahangir Anwar, a decision has been made to ensure transparent distribution, continuous monitoring of model Ramadan bazaars, and stricter price control measures.

Faisalabad: Under the Chief Minister’s Ramadan Nigahban Package, in two days, 34,611 Ramadan Nigahban cards worth 10,000 rupees per household have been distributed among deserving families in all four districts of Faisalabad Division while during the entire month of Ramadan, a total of 310,014 Ramadan Nigahban cards will be distributed among beneficiaries in the division In all four districts, with the support of philanthropists, 66 and 19 hospitals will host Ramadan Iftar arrangements to provide food and refreshments to fasting people A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Commissioner Faisalabad Raja Jahangir Anwar in which deputy commissioners gave briefings about their respective districts The commissioner said that according to the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the distribution of Ramadan Nigahban cards should be transparent and swift and no effort should be spared in providing relief to consumers during Ramadan The commissioner directed that model Ramadan bazaars should be visited regularly to ensure availability, quality, and sale of essential items at fixed prices Fruit and vegetable supply chains should be monitored daily price control magistrates should remain active in the field and strict action should be taken against hoarders During the meeting, deputy commissioners informed the commissioner about the ongoing distribution of cards under the Nigahban Ramadan Package the organization of Ramadan bazaars availability of essential items implementation of price control mechanisms and arrangements such as lighting in markets and mosques
