Islamabad: The district administration and the Capital Development Authority (CDA) have launched a clean water supply project by installing tube wells in the localities of Nothia, Bokra, and Surain (H-13).

According to sources, this step was taken following a court proceeding initiated by Nothia resident Amir Zafar, who filed a writ petition in the Islamabad High Court through counsels Malik Zaheer Awan Advocate and Raja Abdul Hafeez Advocate, highlighting the severe water shortage in the area.

During the hearing, the CDA submitted a detailed report regarding the water supply situation, after which the authorities began immediate implementation of the project.

Local residents expressed their happiness, saying the installation of tube wells is expected to finally end the long-standing clean water shortage in the area.
