(Interview By Rasik Safeela Rasmiya from Sri lanka ) 1. How did your entrepreneurial journey begin?
\nSirajudeen Bin Syed Mohamed:<\/strong>
\nMy entrepreneurial journey began with a clear vision \u2014 to build a company that combines technology and business to create long-term value.
\nWhen Royal Kings was first established, we began our journey in the field of Information Technology. At that time, technology was largely viewed in terms of IT infrastructure or software. However, over time, we realized that technology would become a fundamental foundation for the growth of every business.
\nThat experience later became the foundation for expanding our business interests into various sectors.
\nFor me, entrepreneurship is not simply about starting a company. True entrepreneurship is about identifying an opportunity, transforming it into a sustainable business, and creating value for people and society.
\n2. What is the background behind the formation of Royal Kings Group?
\nWhen we established Royal Kings Group in Singapore in 2013, our vision was not limited to creating an IT company.
\nSingapore is one of the world’s leading business and financial hubs. Its strategic location, strong infrastructure, trusted regulatory environment, and connectivity with countries around the world provided us with tremendous opportunities.
\nOur long-term vision was to make Singapore our home base and build a diversified business group capable of connecting with emerging markets, including ASEAN and India.
\nLooking back today, it gives us great pride to see how the small vision we started with in 2013 has grown into a group with multiple business verticals and international connections.
\n3. Can you tell us about the journey from an Information Technology company to a diversified business group?
\nThere is one important principle behind our growth:
\n\u201cWhen the markets we operate in change, we must change as well; but our fundamental values must never change.\u201d
\nOur journey, which began in Information Technology, gradually expanded into various sectors as we understood business and market requirements.
\nToday, Royal Kings Group is centered around five major verticals:
\nInformation Technology & Digital Solutions
\nFinTech & Payments
\nCorporate Consultancy
\nHospitality
\nGlobal Trading
\nAlthough these five sectors may appear to be separate business units, in our vision they are interconnected.
\nTechnology drives innovation. FinTech creates new payment and financial possibilities. Consultancy provides strategic direction to businesses. Hospitality focuses on customer experience and service excellence. Global Trading connects us with international markets.
\nTherefore, our objective is not simply diversification. Our objective is to build an integrated business ecosystem.
\n4. Can you tell us about Royal Kings Group\u2019s Global Trading business?
\nGlobal Trading is one of our key business verticals.
\nIn today’s world, international trade has expanded far beyond simply importing and exporting goods. Supply-chain resilience, strategic sourcing, market access, logistics, compliance, and trusted partnerships have become essential components of international business.
\nASEAN and India are among our key strategic markets.
\nBy leveraging Singapore’s position, our objective is to create value-driven trading relationships that connect international suppliers, businesses, and markets.
\nFor us, trading is not simply about buying and selling products.
\n\u201cThe real value is in connecting the right opportunity with the right market and the right partner.\u201d
\n5. Why are Technology, Digital Transformation, and AI important to you?
\nOur journey began in technology. Therefore, technology is part of our DNA.
\nToday, AI, automation, cloud computing, data analytics, and digital platforms are rapidly transforming businesses.
\nIn 2026, talking about AI is no longer about talking about the future \u2014 it is today’s business reality.
\nAt Royal Kings, we do not view technology merely as an individual business vertical. We see it as a strategic capability that can enable our entire ecosystem.
\nThrough AI and digital transformation, we can improve productivity, customer experience, operational efficiency, and decision-making.
\nHowever, as technology develops, something even more important must develop alongside it \u2014 responsibility.
\nMy belief is:
\n\u201cTechnology can accelerate decisions, but human judgement must remain accountable.\u201d
\nWhile adopting AI is important, we must also give equal attention to data privacy, cybersecurity, ethics, and responsible technology adoption.
\n6. How has doing business in Singapore shaped your leadership philosophy?
\nSingapore is not merely a business location for us; it is an ecosystem that has shaped our business values.
\nDoing business in Singapore means giving importance to integrity, compliance, professionalism, efficiency, and long-term thinking.
\nAt the same time, Singapore’s multicultural society has taught us to respect different cultures, communities, and perspectives.
\nToday, Royal Kings Group works closely with various established business and community organizations in Singapore.
\nOur engagement with organizations such as the Singapore Malay Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SMCCI), Singapore Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SICCI), and Tamil Representative Council (TRC) is particularly important to us.
\nBusiness is not about growing alone.
\n\u201cStrong communities create strong businesses, and responsible businesses contribute to stronger communities.\u201d
\n7. What does Social Responsibility and CSR mean to you?
\nI believe the success of a company should not be measured solely through revenue and profitability.
\nAs we grow, the community around us should also grow.
\nTherefore, CSR, philanthropy, and community development hold an important place in the vision of Royal Kings Group.
\nWe contribute, wherever possible, in areas such as education, humanitarian assistance, community welfare, migrant worker support, and cultural preservation.
\nEducation is particularly close to my heart.
\nGiving someone an opportunity does not simply change that person’s life; sometimes, it can change the future of an entire family.
\nSimilarly, I believe that paying attention to vulnerable communities and migrant workers who may otherwise be overlooked is an important social responsibility.
\nCSR should not be a company’s marketing activity.
\n\u201cIt should be part of the company’s character.\u201d
\n8. What are your views on Singapore National Service and employee welfare?
\nNational Service makes an important contribution to Singapore’s security and social structure.
\nTherefore, I consider supporting National Servicemen to be part of our responsibility as a company operating in Singapore.
\nWhen an employee serves the country, their employer should stand behind and support them.
\nSimilarly, employee welfare is not limited to salary and benefits.
\nIn a good organization, employees should be respected, their family lives should be valued, and they should be provided with opportunities for growth.
\nOur people are behind our business growth.
\nTherefore:
\n\u201cPeople development and employee well-being are not separate from business success \u2014 they are part of it.\u201d
\n9. What do awards and recognitions mean to you?
\nAn award is not an end for me; it is a reminder of responsibility.
\nRoyal Kings Group and our team have received various business and service-related recognitions.
\nWhile these recognitions acknowledge our efforts, more importantly, they create a greater sense of responsibility within us.
\nWhen a company receives an award, people place even greater trust in it.
\nWe must continue to prove that this trust is deserved.
\nTherefore, I see awards not only as achievements but also as accountability.
\n10. What would you like to say to the next generation of entrepreneurs?
\nToday’s young people have more opportunities. At the same time, competition is also greater.
\nI would tell entrepreneurs three things.
\nFirst \u2014 Integrity.
\nYour reputation is your greatest capital.
\nSecond \u2014 Adaptability.
\nTechnology and market conditions are changing very rapidly. You must continue learning and remain ready to adapt.
\nThird \u2014 Patience.
\nA sustainable business cannot be built overnight.
\nAn entrepreneur must accept the uncertainty, failure, sacrifice, and persistence that lie behind success.
\nI often tell young people:
\n\u201cDo not focus only on becoming successful. Focus on becoming valuable.\u201d
\nIf you create value, success will follow.
\n11. Where would you like to see Royal Kings Group in the next 5 to 10 years?
\nOur next phase of growth is centered around Singapore, ASEAN, India, Asia-Pacific, and the Middle East\/GCC markets.
\nSingapore is our foundation.
\nBut our vision is global.
\nOver the next 5 to 10 years, we aim to strengthen our international footprint through strategic partnerships and regional expansion in technology, FinTech, corporate solutions, hospitality, and global trading.
\nHowever, expansion is not simply about geographical growth.
\nWe are focused on sustainable, responsible, and well-governed growth.
\nOur goal is not merely to have a presence in many countries.
\nWe want to be recognized as a trusted business partner in those countries.
\nFinal Question
\nIf you had to define the entrepreneur \u201cSirajudeen Bin Syed Mohamed\u201d in one sentence, how would you describe yourself?
\n\u201cA builder who seeks to use integrity as the foundation, innovation as the tool, and connect business growth with social impact.\u201d
\nI do not see myself merely as a businessman.
\nI am a builder.
\nI believe that building a business is not enough \u2014 we must also build people, partnerships, opportunities, and communities.
\nWhat identity would you like the name \u201cRoyal Kings Group\u201d to be known by in the global business world in the future?
\nI want our brand to be associated with three key words:
\nTRUST. INNOVATION. IMPACT.
\nTrust \u2014 Those who do business with us should be able to trust us.
\nInnovation \u2014 We will continue moving forward with a changing world.
\nImpact \u2014 As we grow, the community around us should also grow.
\nThe journey of Royal Kings, which began in Singapore in 2013, has now reached a new stage.
\nOur first phase was about building a company.
\nThe next phase is about building a global business institution that carries the values and standards of Singapore.
\nThat is the future vision of Royal Kings Group.
