A large number of prominent personalities from different walks of life attended the event.<br \/>\nDuring the ceremony, Shan-e-Pakistan Awards were presented to personalities who had rendered outstanding services in the fields of literature, journalism, education, social welfare, medicine and other sectors.Principal Gulzar Hussain of Qaid-e-Millat Public School Amirabad was honoured in recognition of his outstanding educational services in Chorbat, a remote area of Gilgit-Baltistan and his efforts to promote quality education and provide better educational opportunities to students.Two students of the school, Hira Farman and Masooma Ibrahim were also honoured with Shan-e-Pakistan Awards for their outstanding performance in the international American Mathematics Olympiad, where they brought recognition to Pakistan.
