\nNo power in the world can stop Pakistan’s journey of Fatah-e-Mubeen (decisive victory), and the defence cooperation between Turkiye, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan is not for aggression but for self-defence, said Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti.
\nThe Chief Minister announced that an international-level calligraphy exhibition titled “Bunyan Al-Marsous” will be held in Quetta in May next year. He said renowned calligraphers and artists from the Islamic world, Turkiye and other countries will participate in the exhibition, which will be sponsored by the Government of Balochistan. He expressed these views while addressing the inaugural ceremony of the “Rasool-e-Rehmat (PBUH)” calligraphy exhibition here on Tuesday.
\nThe Chief Minister said that holding such an event in the month of August, around 14th August, is itself a message for the whole of Pakistan that Balochistan has the capacity and resolve to hold programmes of international standard. He said he has already requested calligrapher Wasil Shahid to organize a major international calligraphy exhibition in May next year, for which the Government of Balochistan will extend full cooperation, and Serena Hotels will be selected to host it, as Serena took the first step in this regard.
\nMir Sarfraz Bugti said that renowned artists from the Islamic world, Turkiye and other countries will be invited to the international calligraphy exhibition to convey to the world from Quetta that the people of Quetta are lovers of fine arts, peace-loving, and have a deep attachment to Islamic calligraphy in particular. He directed the concerned authorities to start preparations for the international calligraphy exhibition from now and give it the shape of a two to three-day major global event, so that artists from around the world can come to Quetta and showcase their art.
\nThe Chief Minister said the theme of the exhibition to be held in May next year will be “Bunyan Al-Marsous” and it will be held on 9th and 10th May, as these are the days when Pakistan achieved a great success. He said that various events were also organized in Balochistan last year, while this year calligraphy will also be included in the “Marka-e-Haq” celebrations.
\nMir Sarfraz Bugti said that Pakistan’s honour and prestige at the international level is increasing, and the recent defence cooperation between the Islamic world, Turkiye, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan also reflects this changing situation. He clarified that this cooperation is not for any aggression but for its own defence.
\nThe Chief Minister said that a limited group trying to achieve its objectives through violence in Balochistan is pushing the Baloch people into a futile war, the loss of which will be borne not by anyone else but by the Baloch people themselves. He said that destroying bridges and infrastructure will only affect the Baloch people, while blocking trade and damaging traders’ trucks also affects the livelihood of common people.
\nHe said that no power in the world can stop Pakistan’s journey of Fatah-e-Mubeen and the spirit and unity shown by the nation is commendable. Mir Sarfraz Bugti appreciated the services of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, President Asif Ali Zardari and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, saying that the positive effects of the improvement in Pakistan’s global standing are also being distinctly felt among overseas Pakistanis.
\nHe thanked calligrapher Wasil Shahid and the management of Serena Hotels for organizing the event, saying that it is a proud day for Balochistan, and next year on 9th and 10th May, large-scale events will be organized under the titles of “Bunyan Al-Marsous” and “Marka-e-Haq”, in which calligraphy will have a prominent place.
