LAHORE<\/strong>: The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Monday fined Pakistan five percent of its match fee for maintaining a slow over-rate during the tri-series final against Sri Lanka in Lahore.<\/p>\n Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by three wickets on Saturday to claim their first-ever home one-day international (ODI) tri-series title.<\/p>\n According to an ICC statement, match referee Jeff Crowe found Pakistan one over short after accounting for time allowances.<\/p>\n As a result, the team received a penalty of five percent of its match fee for the slow over-rate offence.<\/p>\n Pakistan captain Shaheen Shah Afridi pleaded guilty to the offence and accepted the proposed sanction.
