Pakistan Journalists Forum Emphasizes Economic, Social and Cultural Transformation Under Vision 2030
In Jeddah, the voluntary and oldest forum of Pakistani media, Pakistan Journalists Forum, organized a web conference on the 299th Foundation Day of Saudi Arabia, the theme of which was “Foundation Day of Saudi Arabia and Vision 2030: History, Identity and Bright Future”. The forum members expressed their views and paid tribute to the Saudi leadership, saying that today Saudi Arabia is crossing the threshold of development in every part of the world with respect to its great people and historical heritage. The speakers said that Saudi Arabia is today at the height of development under the enthusiastic leadership of King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz and is guiding the Islamic world. The forum’s President Maroof Hussain, General Secretary Jamil Ratho, Khalid Cheema, while expressing their views, presented the date of the Foundation Day and said that this day is celebrated every year on February 22, which commemorates the establishment of the first Saudi state in Dariyah in 1727. This day not only commemorates the greatness of the past It not only inspires but also sends a message of hope and determination for the future. Forum Chairman Amir Muhammad Khan said that today, as Saudi Arabia is entering a new era under Vision 2030, the significance of the Foundation Day has deepened. He explained the historical background of the Foundation Day and said that in 1727, Imam Muhammad bin Saud laid the foundation of a united and strong state for the first time. This state not only established peace and stability in the Arabian Peninsula but also promoted Islamic culture, education and trade. This date is a symbol of pride, unity and national identity for the Saudi people. The forum members paid tribute to the recent leadership of Saudi Arabia and said that Crown Prince Mohammed Salman’s Vision 2030 is the beginning of a new era for Saudi Arabia. The Vision 2030 under the leadership of the Crown Prince aims to transform the country into a diverse and futuristic state in economic, social and cultural terms. Vision 2030 is based on three fundamental pillars: economic development, social development, reducing dependence on oil, and making Saudi Arabia a global player through education and public health facilities and culture. The forum paid tribute to the Saudi leadership for the facilities it is providing to its people, as well as the large number of other non-Saudis present here who are playing an important role in Saudi economic development. The Zoom meeting was attended by Shahid Naeem, Maroof Hussain, Jamil Rathore, Khalid Cheema, Zakir Bhatti, Amanatullah, Asad Akram, Maryam Shahid, Alia Khan, Javed Rahu, Amil Usmani, and Fawzia Khan. Finally, the participants prayed for the development of Saudi Arabia and the strength of Pak-Saudi Arabia.
