Pakistan Issues Record 6,629 Visas to Indian Sikh Pilgrims for Baisakhi 2025

In a landmark move, Pakistan has granted 6,629 visas to Indian Sikh pilgrims for Baisakhi 2025—twice the usual number. This decision underscores Pakistan’s commitment to religious harmony and ensures access to the sacred birthplace of Guru Nanak at Nankana Sahib.

Despite regional tensions, the visa approval has been widely praised globally and celebrated in Indian Punjab, where it is being hailed as a historic humanitarian gesture. For the first time in 50 years, such a large number of Indian Sikhs will visit Nankana Sahib, turning Baisakhi into a truly international celebration.

The move has also energized Sikh communities across Europe and North America, earning Pakistan widespread recognition and positive global media coverage.
