Pakistani Christian Community Celebrates Easter with Enthusiasm in Jeddah

The Pakistani Christian community in Jeddah celebrated Easter with great enthusiasm and unity. The event was organized by the Christian Welfare Community and held at the newly inaugurated building of the Pakistan Consulate in Jeddah.

Warm Welcome and Strong Community Presence

Chairman of the Christian Welfare Community, John Gulzar, warmly welcomed the guests and appreciated the participation of community members. The event was attended not only by the Christian community but also by prominent members of the wider Pakistani community in Jeddah.

The ceremony was graced by Consul General Syed Mustafa Rabbani, who attended as the chief guest.

Message of Hope, Unity, and Harmony

In his address, Consul General Syed Mustafa Rabbani said:

“It is a great pleasure to welcome you all to the Consulate General of Pakistan in Jeddah. Today, we celebrate a festival that symbolizes hope, renewal, compassion, and humanity.”

He highlighted the importance of Easter for the Christian community, noting that it reflects universal values such as sacrifice, forgiveness, and faith—values shared across all religions and cultures.

He further emphasized that in Pakistan, people of different faiths live together with mutual respect, harmony, and shared national values.

A Milestone Event at the New Consulate

The Consul General noted that this gathering holds special importance as it is:

  • The first community event held at the newly inaugurated consulate building
  • A symbol of renewed commitment to engage with the Pakistani community in Jeddah
