Toba Tek Singh: District Health and Population Welfare Officer Toba Tek Singh Chaudhry Muhammad Naeem has stated that controlling rapid population growth and addressing maternal and child health issues is the need of the hour. He said that the Health and Population Welfare Department is organizing various awareness programs, seminars and community sessions to educate the public about family planning and the importance of building a healthy society.Chaudhry Muhammad Naeem emphasized that the health of mothers and children is a fundamental pillar of any society’s development. He noted that if women are provided with proper medical facilities, timely check-ups and nutritional awareness, a significant reduction in mortality rates can be achieved. He stressed that every family should plan according to its financial capacity to ensure better education, healthcare and a brighter future for their children.
He further stated that, in line with the directives of the Government of Punjab, Basic Health Units and Welfare Centers across the district are fully functional, where qualified medical staff are providing free consultation and services to the public. He urged citizens to take full advantage of these facilities and rely on expert guidance instead of unverified information.
In conclusion, he said that a healthy and prosperous society cannot be built without collective efforts. He called upon religious scholars, teachers, media representatives and civil society members to play their positive role in making Toba Tek Singh a healthy and well-informed district.
