A Bright Face of Pakistan in South Korea — The Contributions and Achievements of Rubina Kausar

Question: Rubina, during your time studying in South Korea, your activities were not limited to academics. What role did you play in the community.
Answer: Absolutely. I believe that a student abroad is also a representative of their country. With this mindset, I remained actively involved with Pakistan Community Korea and worked for the welfare and organization of the community.
Question: What was your most notable achievement within the Pakistan Community Korea.
Answer: I had the distinct honor of drafting the Constitution of the Pakistan Community Korea, which helped provide a structured and strong foundation for the community and created a unified platform for Pakistanis.
Question: What were your responsibilities as a volunteer administrator.
Answer: My responsibilities included addressing community issues, organizing events, and bringing Pakistani students and families together on a common platform.
Question: How was your experience working with the Seoul Metropolitan Government.
Answer: It was a very meaningful experience. As a volunteer, I contributed to improving communication and understanding between the Pakistani and Korean communities.
Question: How did your proficiency in the Korean language help you.
Answer: Knowing the language allowed me to communicate effectively with locals, which helped bridge cultural gaps and present a positive image of Pakistan.

Question: Did you also work with Korean students.
Answer: Yes, I visited various schools where I gave presentations about Pakistan’s culture, history and traditions to promote mutual understanding between the two nations.
Question: What was your purpose in joining the Seoul International Women’s Association.
Answer: Through this platform, I had the opportunity to collaborate with women from across the world and participate in various social and cultural activities.
Question: What kind of services did you provide at the Pakistan Embassy in Seoul.
Answer: I volunteered in embassy programs, national day celebrations and community events, which helped strengthen unity among Pakistanis living in Korea.
Question: What was your role in promoting Pakistani products.
Answer: I participated in exhibitions and events where I helped introduce and promote Pakistani products to the Korean public.
Question: What was the core objective behind all these activities.
Answer: My goal was not just volunteerism, but to practically project a positive, progressive and soft image of Pakistan through meaningful engagement.
Question: What message would you like to give to Pakistani students studying abroad.
Answer: My message is that along with their education, they should act as cultural ambassadors of Pakistan, preserve their identity and strive to represent their country positively on the global stage.
