Rubina Kausar calls for zero waste environment through sustainable policies and circular economy
ISLAMABAD: Rubina Kausar emphasized the need to strive for a zero waste environment while addressing the significance of sustainable development on the International Day of Zero Waste.

“Building a zero waste environment goes beyond recycling and requires a complete transformation of production and consumption patterns,” she remarked, stressing the need for long-term sustainable practices.
Rubina Kausar further explained that adopting a zero waste environment approach would help reduce ecological footprints and protect the rights of future generations to live in a clean and dignified environment.
She also advocated incorporating Circular Economy principles to strengthen efforts toward a zero waste environment and ensure sustainable national development.
Calling for collective action, she urged collaboration among government institutions, civil society, and private sectors to promote a zero waste environment and implement innovative waste management strategies.
In conclusion, she emphasized that achieving a zero waste environment is essential for building a resilient and greener Pakistan, ensuring long-term environmental sustainability.
