Faisalabad: A major administrative reshuffle has taken place in the Punjab Police as Sohail Akhtar Sukhera has been appointed the new Regional Police Officer (RPO) of Faisalabad. He replaces DIG Zeeshan Asghar, who has been transferred to the Central Police Office (CPO) Lahore.
According to official sources, DIG Zeeshan Asghar has been posted as DIG Welfare and Finance at the IGP Office following his transfer. During his tenure as RPO Faisalabad, Zeeshan Asghar took several initiatives aimed at improving law enforcement, crime control and public service delivery across the division.
The newly appointed RPO Sohail Akhtar Sukhera is considered a seasoned and professional police officer known for his administrative skills and strong command. His appointment is expected to further strengthen policing and enhance operational efficiency in the Faisalabad region.Police officials and local circles have expressed hope that the new RPO will continue ongoing reforms and introduce new strategies to ensure public safety, effective crime prevention and improved coordination among district police units.
