U.S. Attorney General Places Attorney on Leave Over Deportation Case

U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi announced on Sunday that a Justice Department attorney was placed on leave after failing to effectively defend the government’s handling of a man wrongly deported to El Salvador, in a case described by a U.S. judge as “wholly lawless.”
