UAF emerges 33rd top ranked in worldwide QS ranking

UAF QS Ranking highlights University of Agriculture Faisalabad’s top global positions

FAISALABAD: In another significant milestone, the University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) has achieved a remarkable global position in the latest QS World University Subject Rankings, further strengthening its international academic standing. According to the rankings, UAF has secured the 33rd position worldwide in the subject of Agriculture and Forestry, placing it among the top institutions globally.

The UAF QS Ranking highlights the university’s outstanding performance, as it stands 33rd among 475 universities worldwide in Agriculture and Forestry. Notably, UAF is the only institution from Pakistan to be included among the top 100 universities globally in this discipline, marking a major achievement for the country’s higher education sector.

In addition to its success in Agriculture and Forestry, the UAF QS Ranking also reflects significant progress in Veterinary Sciences. The university has improved its position to 61st globally, rising from its previous rank of 84th. This improvement underscores UAF’s growing strength in research, innovation, and academic excellence.

The rankings are based on several key performance indicators, including academic reputation (50%), employer reputation (10%), citations per faculty (15%), H-index (15%), and international research network (10%). These indicators highlight the university’s increasing global impact, research productivity, and collaboration with international institutions.

Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zulfiqar Ali congratulated the UAF community on this remarkable achievement. He expressed confidence that the university will continue to excel both nationally and internationally. He emphasized that as the first-ever agricultural institution in the subcontinent, UAF remains committed to leading change through innovation, research, and academic excellence to ensure agricultural development and food security.

University officials termed the achievement a moment of pride for students, faculty, staff, alumni, and stakeholders. They stated that this milestone reflects UAF’s consistent commitment to maintaining high academic standards and promoting innovation.

They further expressed optimism that with continued strategic efforts and focused initiatives, the university will climb even higher in global rankings, reinforcing its role as a leading center for agricultural education and research.
