The United Nations overwhelmingly endorsed a declaration on steps toward a two-state solution between Israel and Palestine, with 142 countries voting in favor and 10 opposing. The resolution calls for renewed efforts to establish a Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
