U.S. Congressional Delegation Meets Pakistan's Army Chief to Strengthen Bilateral Ties

A delegation of the United States Congress, led by Honorable Jack Bergman, along with Honorable Thomas Souzzi and Honorable Jonathan Jackson, met with General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), Chief of Army Staff (COAS) of Pakistan, today. The discussions focused on regional security and defense cooperation, emphasizing mutual respect and shared strategic interests. The U.S. lawmakers praised Pakistan’s role in combating terrorism and its contributions to regional peace. Both sides underscored the importance of continuing engagement and strengthening bilateral ties, with a focus on security, trade, and economic development. Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were also signed to collaborate on training in Information Technology.
