Shahid Hussain Jilani says public grievance redressal, especially WAPDA and electricity complaints, is top priority

Faisalabad: Advisor to the Federal Ombudsman Shahid Hussain Jilani said that the timely and impartial provision of justice to the public is his top priority. Talking to our Bureau Chief in his office, he stated that he considers himself a servant of the people and regards the resolution of citizens’ grievances as his fundamental responsibility. Shahid Hussain Jilani said that the office of the Federal Ombudsman provides an effective and prompt platform for addressing complaints against government departments. He informed that on a daily basis, citizens visit his office with complaints regarding various departments, particularly WAPDA, and immediate action is taken to resolve their issues.He further stated that complaints related to electricity matters, correction of bills, meter reading issues and other technical concerns are handled on a priority basis to ensure that citizens do not face unnecessary delays or inconvenience. He added that the timely resolution of complaints not only restores public confidence but also improves the performance of government institutions.The Advisor to the Federal Ombudsman urged citizens to approach the Ombudsman’s office for the resolution of their problems and to submit applications with accurate information and relevant documents so that their complaints can be addressed promptly and transparently. He reaffirmed his commitment to continuing the mission of delivering justice and ensuring that no complainant faces injustice.
