MD WASA Saqib Raza and Chinese engineers mark the Year of the Horse with cake-cutting ceremony, emphasizing speedy completion of French Project Phase-II for improved water supply in Faisalabad.

Faisalabad: Managing Director WASA Saqib Raza along with Chinese engineers celebrated the Chinese New Year with great enthusiasm and joy. In this regard, a special ceremony was organized at the WASA Head Office, where the MD WASA was the chief guest. Chinese engineers working on the French Water Treatment Plant Project Phase-II, along with WASA officers, were also present on the occasion.During the ceremony, MD WASA and the Chinese engineers cut a beautifully decorated cake to mark the arrival of the New Year of the friendly neighboring country, China. Speaking on the occasion, MD WASA congratulated the Chinese engineers and the people of China on the New Year. He mentioned that the Government of China has promoted the Year of the Horse this year and emphasized that the construction work on the French Project Phase-II should be completed with the speed and dedication symbolized by the horse.He further stated that China and Pakistan are friendly neighboring countries that have always supported each other in trade, diplomacy and development. A Chinese company is currently carrying out construction work on the French Project Phase-II under WASA Faisalabad, which is a mega project. Upon completion, the project will significantly enhance the water supply for the citizens of Faisalabad.The Chinese engineers expressed their gratitude to the MD WASA and other WASA officers for extending their best wishes on the occasion of the Chinese New Year.
