Faisalabad: Managing Director WASA Saqib Raza has declared it mandatory to achieve the revenue recovery target of Rs. 425 million in April. He emphasized that revenue collection should be further increased by expanding the number of commercial consumers.While chairing a meeting of the Revenue Directorate, he stated that domestic revenue recovery is satisfactory. however, special focus must be placed on commercial consumers to ensure at least 80% recovery at all costs.The MD WASA further directed that staff be deployed to implement tariff enforcement on industries located along Sargodha Road. He added that all industries discharging sewage into the Paharang Drain should be regularized, which would contribute to an increase in WASA Faisalabad’s revenue. He made it clear that bills and dues from private housing societies must be recovered without exception and the NOCs of colonies failing to clear their dues should be canceled.He also instructed that in areas where bill payments are pending, bills should be issued under a one-by-one formula to reduce the burden on consumers while increasing departmental revenue.The meeting was attended by Deputy Managing Director (Admin) Shoaib Rashid, Director Revenue Muhammad Iqbal Malik, Umar Iftikhar, Deputy Directors Farhan Ali, Zafar Iqbal Qadri, Hafiz Moeen Ahmad, Parvez Iqbal Chadhar and other officers.
