4,391 suspects arrested, 4,162 cases registered; large quantities of cannabis, ice, heroin, opium, bhuki, raw liquor, and alcohol seized – CPO vows to protect youth from the menace of drugs
Faisalabad: On the directives of City Police Officer Sahibzada Bilal Umar, Faisalabad Police continued an intensive crackdown against drug dealers throughout the year, resulting in the recovery of drugs worth millions of rupees. Police teams conducted successful raids at various locations and arrested individuals involved in drug trafficking.
During the ongoing operations, 4,391 drug dealers were apprehended, and 4,162 cases were registered against them. From the possession of the accused, the police recovered 1393.242 kg of cannabis, 109.858 kg of ice, 393.803 kg of heroin, 25.437 kg of opium, 1904.348 kg of bhuki, 1922 liters of raw liquor (lehan), and 57,749 bottles of alcohol.
According to police officials, the quantity of synthetic drugs seized this year is significantly higher than previous years, reflecting the effectiveness of operations against drug networks.
CPO Sahibzada Bilal Umar stated that Faisalabad Police are carrying out an indiscriminate crackdown on drug dealers and are fully committed to ensuring a safe and healthy future for the younger generation.
