Faisalabad: On the directives of City Police Officer (CPO) Faisalabad, Sahibzada Bilal Umar, the second day of the special anti-narcotics campaign witnessed extensive police operations across the city. During raids conducted in various police stations, over 36 kilograms of drugs and a large quantity of alcohol were recovered, while 32 notorious drug peddlers were arrested.
According to police officials, the arrested suspects have been identified as Asghar, Waseem, Shoaib, Farooq, Sarfraz, Azam, Sajida Parveen, and others. From their possession, the police seized 15 kg 720 g of charas, 9 kg 540 g of heroin, 1 kg 20 g of ice, 10 kg 60 g of bhuki, and 278 liters of liquor.
Cases have been registered against the suspects under the Narcotics Act, and investigations have begun to trace their supply networks and facilitators. The CPO emphasized that strict legal action will be ensured, and the arrested criminals will be given exemplary punishment.
He further stated that drug dealers, suppliers, and their facilitators will be dealt with an iron hand, and the police will continue their operations relentlessly to cleanse the city of narcotics.
