Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s Vision “Your Health, Our Priority” Being Implemented

Commissioner Faisalabad Raja Jahangir Anwar Continues Surprise Visits to Hospitals. In line with the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, “Your Health, Our Priority,” Commissioner Faisalabad Raja Jahangir Anwar continued his series of inspections and paid emergency visits to Faisalabad Institute of Cardiology (FIC) and Allied Hospital I and II to review healthcare services and ongoing development works.

During the briefing, it was informed that in the year 2025 alone, around 900,000 heart patients were treated at Faisalabad Institute of Cardiology. Under the Chief Minister Children Heart Surgery Program, one thousand children successfully underwent heart surgeries during the last six months. Moreover, under the program for doorstep delivery of medicines, medicines were provided to approximately 250,000 patients during one year.

The Commissioner inspected various wards of FIC and directed the authorities to expedite measures for the provision of a CT Angiography machine along with other essential medical equipment. He also reviewed the ongoing construction of a new emergency block comprising 280 beds, being built at a cost of Rs. 550 million. Hospital administration informed that 52 additional doctors are required to ensure better and uninterrupted treatment facilities for patients.

During his visit to Allied Hospital II, the Commissioner issued instructions to further improve cleanliness standards. In this regard, the Suthra Punjab team will conduct comprehensive washing of all hospital departments today. It was briefed that around 5,000 patients are examined daily at the OPD of Allied Hospital II, while Allied Hospital I handles approximately 12,000 OPD patients daily. Currently, about 1,600 patients are admitted in the hospital and are being provided with fast-track medical services.

The Commissioner was also informed that after sewerage works, approximately Rs. 800 million are required for construction and repair of internal hospital roads, for which a request has been forwarded to the concerned department. Additionally, Rs. 1 billion are needed for overall repair and rehabilitation of the hospital, and a formal request will be submitted to the Government of Punjab.

Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner Faisalabad Raja Jahangir Anwar said that provision of required resources to hospitals is a top priority to ensure quality and dignified healthcare services for patients, in accordance with the Chief Minister’s vision to strengthen the public health system across Punjab.
