Wheat sowing in Sahiwal is in full swing, with over 243,000 acres cultivated, meeting 80% of the district’s 306,000-acre target. Tehsil Sahiwal and Chichawatni have contributed 100,000 acres and 124,000 acres, respectively. Deputy Commissioner Saima Ali, during a review meeting, directed officials to ensure cultivation on all government lands and address water shortages in 5L Canal. She urged farmers to utilize government initiatives like the Kissan Card for enhanced productivity.
