Faisalabad: Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Director General Muhammad Asif Chaudhry has directed staff to perform their duties diligently regarding the implementation of the Government of Punjab’s “e-Biz Punjab” portal. He emphasized that applicants seeking various permits must be provided with complete guidance, warning that any delay or negligence by the staff will not be tolerated.These instructions were issued during his inspection of the “e-Biz Punjab” help desk established at the One-Window Counter. He was accompanied by Chief Engineer Meher Ayub, Director IT Yasir Ejaz Chattha, and other relevant officials. The DG stated that under the Punjab Government’s “Ease of Doing Business” initiative, digital technology is being used to deliver various permits directly to the doorsteps of entrepreneurs. He directed that all FDA services must remain fully functional to fulfill the authority’s responsibilities effectively. Through the “e-Biz Punjab” portal, the business community can now receive NOCs for land-use conversion, building map approvals, and construction permits online at their homes, he informed. The Help Desk In-charge was instructed to assist applicants who face difficulties with the portal and to provide full support during the online application process. The DG warned that strict action would be taken against any departmental staff found negligent in responding to queries or applications on the portal. During the visit, Director IT Yasir Ejaz Chattha provided a detailed briefing on the current status of the department’s implementation of the e-Biz Punjab system.
